Home/Service Areas/Grand Bay
Grand Bay is one of the three areas we get the most work from, and it’s twenty minutes from the shop. Parcels here are big, the competition is thin, and multi-acre mulching prices well.
Flat coastal plain with sandy topsoil over heavier subsoil; parts drain well and parts hold water through the winter.
What’s typically growing on it: Slash and loblolly pine, live oak on the older homesteads, palmetto and wax myrtle in the low ground, and Chinese tallow spreading aggressively along the roadsides.
That matters because density, not acreage, is what sets a mulching price, and because ground conditions decide whether a heavy machine should be on your property at all in a given week. See the published bands →
Larger rural parcels, agricultural land coming out of production, homesteads on acreage and a steady amount of mobile home removal.
Unincorporated Mobile County. County permitting. We work to a permit you hold, and we’ll tell you when we think you need one, but confirm with the jurisdiction, because we’re contractors, not the permit office. Permit guide →
15-20 minutes from the shop in Coden. That drive is real cost on a small job, it’s why we publish a $1,000 minimum and why bundling several bits of work into one visit is almost always cheaper than calling us out three times.
Call and you get John Williams, not an answering service and not a dispatcher. If it’s after hours or a Sunday, send the form and you’ll have a text back and a callback first thing.
