Photographs of your property

Home/Photo & Property Release

We photograph our work. Here’s what we do with those photographs, what we never publish, and how to say no.

Why we photograph every job

Three before, three after, on every job, including the small ones. Two reasons: it is our record of what the property looked like when we arrived and when we left, which protects both of us if there is ever a question. And a before-and-after pair photographed from the same spot is the single most useful thing we can show the next person who calls.

Where they get used

What we never publish

The rules we hold ourselves to.

No house numbers or street signs identifying the property. No mailbox names. No vehicle licence plates. No people without their permission. No full street address in a caption, town and acreage only. Nothing identifying a property owner by name.

Structures

Where a structure stands on or beside the work area, it appears in the photographs. We do not identify the owner, the family or the address. On estate and probate work in particular we’re aware that a photograph of a family home coming down is not a neutral thing, and we handle it accordingly, ask us not to publish it and we won’t, no explanation needed.

How to say no

Tell us at any point: at the quote, on the day, or afterwards. Call (251) 454-2801. We will still photograph the work for our own records, because that protects both of us, but nothing will be published anywhere.

Taking one down

If a photograph of your property is already published and you want it removed, call us. We’ll take it off our website and our Google profile within two business days. Material already used in printed advertising can’t be recalled, but we’ll stop using it.

Ownership

Photographs we take remain our property. You are welcome to a copy of the photographs of your own job for your records, your insurer or your listing agent, just ask. What you may not do is use our photographs to advertise another business.

Tell us what's on the ground. We'll come look at it.

Call and you get John Williams, not an answering service and not a dispatcher. If it’s after hours or a Sunday, send the form and you’ll have a text back and a callback first thing.

Before you call

Have ready
The property address or parcel number, roughly how many acres you want opened, and what's growing on it: pines, hardwood, scrub, privet.
Don't have that?
Call anyway. We can pull it up on the county parcel viewer while we're on the phone.
Smallest job we take
$1,000
Out of state
$1,500 minimum in Mississippi.
