For builders and general contractors

Home/For Builders & Contractors

You need the lot ready on the day you said it would be ready. Everything else about a clearing contractor is secondary to that.

What matters to you isn't what matters to a homeowner

A homeowner clearing five acres cares mostly about the price. You care about whether the pad is ready on the 14th, because the concrete is booked, the framer has you penciled in, and every day of slip costs you real money somewhere down the chain.

So we schedule backwards from your date. We tell you a real start day rather than an optimistic one, and if we can’t hold your date we say so on the phone rather than three days out.

What a standing arrangement gets you

Consistent pricing across your lots, so you can bid work without re-quoting the dirt every time.

Priority on the schedule.

Repeat customers get first call on machine-days.

One number, and it's the operator.

No dispatcher, no crew leader, no relay.

A certificate of insurance on file with your additional insured endorsement, so mobilisation isn’t held up by paperwork.

Photographs at each stage for your file and for the client.

Honest capacity.

One operator means a finite number of machine-days a month. We’d rather tell you our real capacity than take work we can’t service.

What we do on a build

StageWhat we handle
Pre-purchaseWalk a lot you’re under contract on and give a real clearing number before you’re committed.
ClearBuilding envelope plus working room, driveway cut, laydown and turnaround area.
GrubStumps and root plates out of the pad area.
Rough gradeShaped to the pad, water running away from the structure.
DebrisMulched, windrowed, or burned under a permit in your name, priced each way.
AfterPost-construction cleanup, final grade prep, driveway finishing.

Where we stop

We rough grade. A pad that has to hit a compaction specification with a density test behind it is a grading contractor’s job and we’ll tell you that rather than take the work. Utility trenching, septic installation and permitted erosion control to a drawing are all separate trades. Knowing where a subcontractor’s competence ends is worth more to you than one who says yes to everything.

One operator, one machine, and we'd rather you knew

We’re not a multi-crew outfit and we’re not going to pretend to be. If you’re putting up thirty houses a year we’re probably not your only clearing contractor. If you’re putting up two to twelve, a standing arrangement with one operator who knows your standards is usually better service than you’ll get from someone who has you fourth in a queue.
